Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 pounds asparagus, cooked. Save 1 cup of the tips for garnish
  • 1-1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup half and half, cream or milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Steam or cook the asparagus.

Snip off a few of the tops and save for the garnish.

Place the asparagus and broth into blender or use your immersion blender.
Blend until smooth.

Pour back into pan, add half and half and season to taste. Heat to desired temperature.

Serve in bowls with a few pieces of the asparagus tops for garnish.
