Ingredients

  • 4 cups Flour
  • 1 1/2 cups Sugar
  • 1 1/2 sticks Margarine
  • 2 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup Oil
  • 1 (3.5oz package) Instant Chocolate Pudding, divided
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 cup Orange Juice
  • 3 1/2 tsp Baking Powder

Step 1

Preheat oven to 35o. Grease a tube pan.

In an electric mixer, fitted with the beater attachment, mix the flour, sugar, margarine, oil, and 1 Tbsp instant pudding until crumbly. Remove one heaping cup of crumbs and set aside.

Add the eggs, orange juice, and baking powder, and beat until fluffy and smooth. Transfer half the batter to a separate bowl.

Add the remaining instant pudding mix into the batter remaining in the mixer and beat until smooth.

Pour the chocolate batter into the bottom of the prepared tube pan, and smooth the surface with a spatula. Very slowly and carefully, spoon the white batter into the tube pan on top of the chocolate batter. Top with the reserved crumbs.

Bake @ 350 for 1 hour until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
