  • 1 lb beef tip steaks, cut crosswise into thin bite-size strips
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 Tbsp light sesame or vegetable oil
  • 1/4 Tsp ground red pepper (cayenne)
  • 1 3 oz pkg Oriental-flavor ramen noodle soup mix
  • 1 1 lb pkg frozen broccoli, carrots, and water chestnuts
  • 1 Tsp light sesame or vegetable oil
  • 1 4.5 oz jar whole mushrooms drained
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce

Step 1

1. In medium bowl, combine beef strips, garlic, 1 tablespoon oil and ground red pepper; toss to coat. Set aside.
2. Remove noodles from package; reserve seasoning packet. Bring 2 cups water to a boil in large saucepan. Break block of noodles into 3 pieces; add to water with frozen vegetables. Return to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 2 to 3 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender, stirring occasionally. Drain well. Return vegetable mixture to saucepan. Stir in seasoning from packet; cover to keep warm.
3. Meanwhile, rub 1 teaspoon sesame oil in bottom and up sides of large skillet or wok; heat over medium-high heat until hot. Add seasoned beef strips; cook and stir 2 to 4 minutes or until beef is no longer pink.
