  • 2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 1 Egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • 1/2 Tsp Pure vanilla extract
  • 2/3 Cup Flour
  • 1 Tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/3 Cup Chopped pecans or walnuts

Step 1

1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Butter a cookie sheet
2. Cream the butter. Gradually add the sugar, continuing to beat, stopping at least once to scrape down the sides of the bowl, until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add the egg and beat thoroughly. Add the milk and vanilla and combine.
3. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl, and stir this mixture into the creamed batter. Stir in the chopped nuts. Drop teaspoonful's of batter about 2 inches apart onto the cookie sheet. If you like press a nut half into the center of each cookie.
4. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cookies are a delicate brown with darker edges. Remove to a rack to cool.
