Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter, melted
  • 1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 c. Hershey's cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
  • Ice cream
  • Hot fudge sauce
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Hershey cocoa
  • 1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 1/3 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/3 c. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Beat eggs in small mixer bowl, blend in sugar and melted butter. Combine flour, cocoa and salt; add to butter mixture. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Pour into lightly greased 8-inch pie pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until almost set (pie will not test done). Cool; cut into wedges. Serve topped with ice cream and Hot Fudge Sauce. 6 to 8 servings.

Combine sugar and cocoa in small saucepan; blend in evaporated milk and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils; boil and stir 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla. Serve warm.
