  • Topping:
  • 1 3/4 c. warm milk
  • 2/3 c. melted butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 5-6 c. flour
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 2 cans pie filling
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 4 T. flour
  • 1 stick butter

Preparation

Step 1

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add to warm milk, melted butter, sugar and eggs. Add flour, one cup at a time, beat well after each. Let rise until double. Put on 2 large pans. Put pie filling on top. Let rise one hour. Bake at 425° for 10-12 minutes. Bring topping ingredients to a boil and cook until thick. Spread on warm kuchen.
