Ingredients

  • 2 cups tuna
  • 3 tablespoons Hellmann’s Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon chili oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 scallions, green part only, chopped
  • 6 cups cooked sushi rice
  • 6 nori sheets
  • Soy sauce, to taste
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Sriracha, to taste

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a bowl, combine tuna, Hellmann’s Mayonnaise, sesame oil, chili oil, white pepper, lemon juice, and scallions. Mix well and refrigerate until assembly.
2. Line a ramekin with plastic wrap, and mold ½ cup of rice into a patty. Repeat until you have 12 rice “buns.”
3. Over medium high heat, add a splash of sesame oil and place the rice “bun” on top. Brush with more sesame oil and soy sauce. Cook until the outside is crispy.
4. Assemble the “burgers” by placing a rice “bun” on a piece of nori leaving ⅓ of the rice bun above the top of the nori.
5. Place a large spoonful of the tuna mixture on top of the bun, followed by a few slices of avocado and sriracha.
6. Place a second bun on top and fold the nori over the top, then fold in the sides.
7. Serve & enjoy!
