Ingredients

  • Tbsp garam masala (Just use these ratios to create your substitution:
  • Olive oil
  • Large onion diced
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 2 Tbsp finely chopped ginger
  • 2 Tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 Tbsp cumin seeds
  • 3 parts coriander & cinnamon
  • 1 part cumin & cloves
  • 1/2 part cardamom & pepper
  • Mix these ingredients together and simply add this spice blend to your dish in place of a commercial or homemade garam masala.)
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 lb chicken breast cut up
  • 3/4 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup water

Preparation

Step 1

Cook onion in oil, add garlic and ginger. Cook a few minutes, then add tomato paste and cumin seed.

Cook 30 seconds.

Reduce heat and add the rest of the spices and then the chicken.

Cook until almost done.

Add water and yogurt and cook about 5 minutes!
