  • 1 medium rutabaga or turnip (1 lb.)
  • 1 &1/2 lbs. Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 Tbs. butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

In large saucepan, combine rutabaga or turnip & water to cover; bring to a boil & cook 8 min. Add potatoes & cook about 20 min., until tender. Drain & place in large mixing bowl.
Heat milk, butter, salt & pepper in large saucepan. add potatoes & rutabaga (turnip) & mash. Add cheese & stir well. Serve.
