Ingredients
- Corn Starch Mixture
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. corn starch
- 1/2 cup water
- Meringue
- 3 egg whites
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/2 vanilla
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Combine 1 Tbsp. sugar and 1 Tbsp. corn starch in a small sauce pan. Add water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thick and clear. Cool.
Beat egg whites with salt and vanilla until soft mounds form. Add 6 Tbsp. sugar gradually beating well after each addition. Add corn starch mixture. Continue beating until meringue forms still peaks.
