Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 28 oz can diced tomatoes
- 28 oz jar pasta sauce (& refill jar with water)
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 pound box penne or ziti
- 1 1/2cups (divided) shredded mozzarella cheese room temp

Preparation
Step 1
In a skillet cook ground beef and onion until browned. Stir in garlic and salt and cook 1 minute.
turn on slow cooker to high
Add beef mixture, basil, parsley, diced tomatoes, pasta sauce and water to slow cooker. Stir well. Add pasta and stir well again. Stir occasionally.
Cook on High
When Ziti is done turn the slow cooker to low. Stir in 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese , smooth out pasta and sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella cheese on top. Put the lid on and let the cheese completely melt on the top. Shut the slow cooker off and serve
