Homemade Copycat Nesquick
By srumbel
This is a simple 2-ingredient recipe I saw just before granddaughter, Kaity, came to visit us for a few days. We made a few things in the kitchen and she took home samples of everything...except she took all of this home with her to share with her siblings.
After mixing it in milk the first time, I decided to run it through the blender to make it easier to dissolve, because it was too 'clumpy'. I also read a hint somewhere else on the net suggesting dissolving the mix in a teaspoon of
hot water before adding the cold milk to it.
That really seemed to work better.

Ingredients
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. baking cocoa
- pinch of salt
Details
Preparation
Step 1
Place all the ingredients in a quart jar (made it more fun for Kaity to mix) or bowl; mix well. Store in sealed container. (I ran through the blender for a smoother texture).
Use about 1 TB. per 1 cup milk, dissolving in a little hot water before adding the cold milk. Or use it to make hot cocoa...winter is coming!
It may take a few times to figure out the 'just right' amount for you and your family, but won't you all have a good time doing that??
Enjoy!!!
