  • 1 Cup Whole Milk
  • 2 cups sifted cake flour
  • 1 3/4 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • cinnamon
  • sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Heat milk and butter until butter is melted. DO NOT BOIL. Beat eggs and sugar together until very foamy. Beat in flour lightly. Add vanilla. Add 1/2 of the hot milk mixture to the egg, sugar and flour mixture, then add 1 tsp. baking powder. Add the remaining hot milk, and second tsp. of baking powder. Grease and flour a 13 X 9 pan. Pour batter into pan and bake 30-40 minutes in a 350 degree preheated oven.

Melt 3 tbsp of butter and drizzle over the top of the cake after it has been cooling for about 10-15 minutes.

Mix cinnamon and sugar (to your liking) and sprinkle over the top of the cake.
