  • 16 c small pretzel twists
  • 1 c firml packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c butter or margarine
  • 1/4 c light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla butternut flavoring
  • 1/2 tsp backing soda

Step 1

Preheat oven 200. Place pretzels in a large roasting pan. Butter sides of a heavy medium sized saucean. Combine brown sugar, butter and corn syrup in pan. Stir constantly over medium-low heat until sugar dissolves. Increase heat to medium and bring to a boil. Cook without stirring 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in flavoring and baking soda. Pour syrup over pretzels, stir until well-coated. Back 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on greased aluminum foil to cool.
