Ingredients

  • 4 oz Bakers German Sweet Chocolate
  • 5 T butter
  • 3 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 T flour
  • 1/2 t vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 1/2 t baking powder
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1/2 c flour
  • 1 t vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

1. Melt chocolate & 3T butter over low heat; let cool.

2. Blend remaining butter with cream cheese. Gradually add ¼ c sugar & beat well. Blend 1 egg, 1 T flour & ½ t vanilla; set aside.

3. In separate bowl beat 2 eggs until thick & light in color. Gradually add ¾ c sugar & beat until thickened. Add baking powder, salt & ½ c flour. Blend in chocolate mixture & 1 t vanilla.

4. Spread half the chocolate batter in greased 8 or 9” pan. Add cheese mixture spreading evenly. Top with drops of remaining chocolate mixture & zigzag a knife through batter to marble.

5. Bake 350º 35-40 minutes.
