Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (4-ounces) vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup (6-ounces) cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons celery seeds crushed
- 2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 head green cabbage shredded
- 1/2 head red cabbage shredded
- 1 small red onion peeled, thinly slice
- 1 green bell pepper thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper thinly sliced

Step 1
Combine oil, sugar, and vinegar in small nonaluminum saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Simmer for 5 minutes and add celery seed, mustard, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat. Toss dressing with prepared cabbage, onion, and peppers.
Chill covered with plastic wrap for at least 4 hours, or overnight. Stir occasionally. Or-place into a plastic bag and turn occasionally.
Serves 12.
