Ingredients
- 1 pound (4-sticks; 16-ounces) butter room temperature
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 9 cups flour sifted
- 1 cup nuts, toasted and chopped optional
- 1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract

Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter and sugar together. Add nuts. Roll into walnut sized balls. Flatten lightly with steak mallet.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 15-17 minutes or until light golden brown.
Yield 12-14 dozen cookies.
