  • 1/3 box (20 double crackers) graham cracker crumbs
  • 8 ounces (2 sticks; 1 cup) butter or margarine melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • Step 2 - Filling
  • 3 packages (8-ounces each) cream cheese room temperature
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • Step 3 - Sour Cream Topping
  • 1 carton (16-ounces; 2 cups) sour cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • Friuli for topping, optional

Preparation

Step 1

13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Step 1: Mix all ingredients in Step 1; press into bottom of pan and bake about 8 minutes at 350 degrees F. Add filling.

Step 2: filling: cream sugar and cream cheese; add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add extracts. Pour filling over crust and bake 30 minutes in 350 degree F oven.

Step 3, Mix sour cream and sugar, spread over cheese cake and return to oven and bake 10 more minutes. Remove from oven; cool then chill.

Keep refrigerated.
Freezes well.
