Ingredients
- 4 ounces (1 baking bar) Semi-sweet Chocolate
- 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening
- 3 dozen pecan halves toasted

Preparation
Step 1
Line a baking sheet with waxed paper
Melt the chocolate and shortening in top of double boiler stirring occasionally until well blended and thoroughly melted.
Remove from the heat.
Holding a pecan vertically dip halfway into the chocolate and place flat side down on the prepared baking sheet lined with wax paper
Repeat until all pecans are dipped.
Transfer the baking sheet to a cool place and allow chocolate to set approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour
NOTE: Mix pecans in melted chocolate and spread on the lined wax paper.
