Ingredients
- 2 sticks ( 8-ounces) butter room temperature
- 1/3 cup Crisco shortening
- 3 cups flour, all-purpose
- 3 cups sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup sweet milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 5 large eggs

Step 1
Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
1. Cream butter and Crisco together
2. Add sugar 1 scoop at a time. Beat after each addition.
3. Add eggs 1 at a time. Beat after each addition.
4. Add flour mixture (flour, salt, baking powder) and milk alternately. Begin and end with flour.
5. Add vanilla.
6. Bake 1 hour 15 minutes at 325 degrees F. or until cake is light golden brown and a pick
comes out clean when inserted in center of cake.
