Ingredients
- 1 pound (package) pork sausage
- 1 cup onion chopped
- 1 jar (16-ounce) yellow banana peppers, drained and seeded finely chopped
- 3 medium (1/4 cup) pickled jalapeno peppers,seeded finely chopped
- 16 ounces (2 8-ounce packages) cream cheese softened
- 1 1/2 cups tomatoes, seeded chopped
- 1/2 cup sweet red pepper finely chopped
- 1 medium green onion, chopped optional
- cilantro optional
- Crackers or chips for dipping

Preparation
Step 1
Cook sausage and onion over medium-high heat until meat is thoroughly cooked and no longer pink.
Stir in the jalapeno and banana peppers and cook 1 1/2 minutes.
Reduce heat to medium.
Stir in the cream cheese and chopped tomatoes.
Cook uncovered until heated through, about 5 minutes.
Fold in red peppers, add cilantro and green onion if desired.
Makes about 5 1/2 cups.
Serve warm with chips or crackers.
