This is another recipe from my Grandma...I make it in a 9x13 pan and it's just as delicious!

Ingredients

  • Sift Together:
  • 1 C Crisco
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs – beat in one at a time and beat well
  • 3 C flour
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tsp. baking powder (rounded) – Add alternating with
  • 1 cup milk
  • Topping:
  • 1 C finely chopped nuts
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 T cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Put dough in (greased angel food cake pan) pan in four layers with the sugar mixture between, ending with sugar mixture on top.

Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Can make in 9x13 cake pan; do two layers-put lots of sugar mixture on top.
