Ingredients

  • 3 pounds beef eye round roast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon monosodium glutamate
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 10 3/4 ounce can cond. cream of mushroom soup

Preparation

Step 1

Mix salt, pepper and tenderizer. Sprinkle on all sides of roast. Dredge roast in flour. In skillet over stove, brown roast on all sides.

Place roast in baking pan. Pour mushroom soup over top until top of roast is covered. Sprinkle onion soup mix over top.

Cover baking pan with aluminum foil.

Bake for 2 1/2 hours.

Makes its own gravy.

Serve with mashed potatoes, green beans, green salad, and rolls.
