- 1 cup canned chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
- 1/3 cup tahini (sesame seed paste)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
- juice of one lemon
- 1 garlic clove

Step 1
Use metal blade of food processor to shop garlic, about 10 seconds.
Add chickpeas and puree until smooth, adding water if necessary.
Add tahini and salt, pulsing 6-8 times.
Add lemon juice, pulsing a couple times until mixture is smooth.
Serve hummus in pita bread wedges.
