Ingredients
- 2 Tbl butter
- 2 Tbl flour
- 1 C milk
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 3/4 C half and half
- 1-1/2 C swiss cheese, coarsely shredded
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 9-inch partially baked pastry shell

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat overn to 325 degrees.
Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat and add milk, stirring constantly. Return to heat and stir until sauce is smooth and thick. Boil mixture for 1 minute.. Remove from heat and pour into large bowl to cool. Stir in eggs, half andhalf, cheese and salt and pepper to taste.
Pour into partially baked shell. Dot with 1-1/2 Tbl butter.
Bake for 35-45 minutes or until golden brown and center is firm.
