Ingredients
- 1 pkg dry yeast
- 1/4 C warm water
- 2 Tbl sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/2 C dry skim milk powder
- 2-4 Tbl vegetable oil
- 1-1/2 C thick sourdough starter
- 1-1/2 C water
- 4 C flour

Step 1
Soften yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
Combine sugar, salt, milk powder and oil with 1-1/2 cups water in large mixing bowl. Add yeast mixture and sourdough starter to water mixture, blend gently. Gradually add flour and knead until smooth. (More flour may be necessary.) Place in a greased bowl and let rise to double in size (1-1/2 to 2 hours).
Turn out onto lightly floured board and divide into 2-3 oz pieces. Roll out flat. Let rest and deep fry at 375 degrees until golden brown.
