Cheese and Onion Bread

Ingredients
- 1-1/2 C chopped onions
- 1/4 C plus 2 Tbl butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 C sour cream
- Pepper
- 2 C flour
- 1 Tbl baking powder
- 1 C shredded cheddar cheese
- 2/3 C milk
- 3 Tbl parsley, minced

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Saute onions in 2 Tbl butter until tender. Combine onions with egg, sour cream and pepper (to taste) in bowl, mixing well. Set aside.
Place flour and baking powder in bowl. Cut in remaining 1/4 cup butter until crumbly and fine. Stir in 1/2 cup cheese. Add mil to make soft dough.
Pat dough into buttered 9-inch square pan. Spread sour cream mixture on top. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese and parsley.
Bake for 25 minutes. Cut into squares and serve warm.
