Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp crisco
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Step 1
Boil chicken breasts in water with minced onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until done. Remove chicken, let cool, cut into bitesize pieces. To make dumplings, in a medium bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Cut in crisco. Add buttermilk. Mix well. Pour out onto floured surface. Knead 4-5 times. Roll out dough and cut into small squares. Drop into boiling chicken broth. Stir frequently to keep them from sticking. Let cook for 8-10 minutes. Add cut up chicken, salt, pepper, and milk.
