Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 2 Tbsp vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • Dash of pepper
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 head of romaine lettuce, cut up
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 can mandarin oranges, drained

Preparation

Step 1

Cook sugar over medium heat until sugar melts. Pour in almonds. Cover with sugar. Then remove and spread on was paper to cool.
Dressing: Mix oil, vinegar, sugar, salt,pepper, and parsley. Chill.
Salad:
Cut up romaine lettuce and add celery, oranges and other ingredients right before serving.
