  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 Tbsp. syrup
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 `Tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp nutmeg
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Combine brown sugar, butter and syrup and press into a jelly roll pan. Cut french bread into 1 inch slices and p;ace in the pan.
Beat together eggs, milk, and spices.
Pour over bread; cover and refrigerate overnight. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup or more of chopped nuts over bread. Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
