Preparation

Step 1

1. Grease a 9x13 pan.
2. In a small saucepan, combine the first 5 ingredients.
3. Heat the saucepan mixture over medium low heat until just slightly bubbling.
4. After slightly bubbling, continue to heat the mixture on medium low for 7 more minutes.
2. While the mixture is cooking, arrange a single layer of Club crackers on the bottom of the greased 9x13 pan, breaking any as necessary to fit.
3. Once cooked, spread the hot saucepan mixture over the crackers, starting at the edges of the pan and moving quickly.
4. Quickly place another single layer of Club crackers over the hot mixture, again, breaking any as necessary to fit. Slightly press the crackers into the caramel mixture.
5. Place the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl or cup and melt the chocolate in the microwave (heat on high for 30 seconds, stir, and continue to heat in 10 second increments, stirring each time until melted).
6. Spread the chocolate over the top cracker layer.
7. Allow to cool completely (this can be done in the refrigerator), slice, and serve.
