No-Knead Deep-Dish Pizza 1 Picture

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups lukewarm water
  • 3 1/4 cups Pizza Perfect Blend or 2 3/4 cups King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour + 1/2 cup semolina flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Pizza Dough Flavor (optional, but delicious)
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup of your favorite pizza sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Pizza Seasoning or mixed Italian herbs
  • 1 1/2 cups grated cheese of your choice
  • additional toppings of your choice

Preparation

Step 1

Grease (or oil with olive oil) a 9 x 13-inch or 12 x 12 inch pan. Mix and stir the dough ingredients together to form a slightly sticky soft dough. Let the dough rise, covered, for 30 minutes, then place it in the pan. Let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes, then pat and stretch it to cover the bottom of the pan. Let it rest, covered, for 30 minutes.

Spread the pizza with the sauce, and bake it in a preheated 425°F oven for 15 minutes. Remove it from the oven, and add the seasoning, cheese, and toppings. Return it to the oven and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and the edges are golden brown.
