Ingredients

  • CHOCOLATE FILLING:
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 3 tbsp Coco
  • 4 tbsp Flour (heaping)
  • 5 egg yolks (Save whites for Meringue)
  • 1/2 stick Margarine
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • PEANUT BUTTER MIXTURE:
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
  • 2 Deep Dish Pie Shells

Preparation

Step 1

Prebake pie shells and let cool.

PEANUT BUTTER MIXTURE:
Mix together peanut butter and powdered sugar until it is crumbly amd makes balls.
Save 1/4 cup for decoration.

Split mixture in half and press into the bottom of each pie shell.

CHOCOLATE FILLING:

IN A SAUCEPAN
combine milk, sugar, coco, flour, egg yolks. Cook ingredients until thick.

Remove from heat.

ADD:
Margarine and Vanilla. (let cool a little).

POUR:
Into pie shells,

MERINGUE:
Beat 5 egg whites until fluffy and peaks form. Add Vanilla and sugar to taste. Spread on top of pies and sprinkle remaining peanut butter mixture on top.

BAKE:
350° for 10 minutes or until meringue browns.
