Ingredients

  • 2 heads garlic
  • 2 Tbl olive oil
  • 1 C mayonnaise
  • 1/2 C buttermilk
  • 7 Tbl freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbl fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Cut top 1/2-inch off off garlic heads, exposing cloves. Place each on foil, drizzle with oil, then enclose in foil. Place on oven rack, bake until tender, about 45 minutes. Open foil and cool slightly.

Hold garlic head, cut side down over medium bowl and squeeze pulp into bowl. Mash until smooth,. Whisk in mayonnaise, buttermiklk, cheese, lemon juice and worcestershire sauce. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cover and chill up to 2 days.
