Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 2-1/2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup sour dough starter
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tbsp. shortening

Step 1
In the evening, mix water, flour and sour dough starter. Beat, let stand, out of draft, till morning. Cover with plate.
In the morning, stir starter and save back some (at least 1/4c.). Add the eggs, sugar, soda, salt and shortening. Use 3 tbsp. if mix is used for waffles.
