Butter Cream Frosting (for sugar cookies)

Half recipe for Judy's Sugar Cookies if not doing a lot of decorating

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup Crisco shortening, whipped
- 2 lbs. powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla (clear if available)

Preparation
Step 1
With electric beaters, whip butter and Crisco together. Add powdered sugar and milk and whip more. Add vanilla. Add more powdered sugar for decorating consistency. (For chocolate frosting, add 4 Tablespoons of baking cocoa). Leftovers will keep in ridge. Keep covered and sealed in bowl.
