Ingredients

  • 16 slices white bread-thin crusts
  • 1 lb shaved ham
  • 8 slices old English cheese or sharp sliced cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp mustard

Preparation

Step 1

Butter bread on both sides
Layer 8 slices bread, 8 slices ham, 8 slices cheese
Last layer is remaining bread

Beat together eggs, milk and seasonings. Pour over bread, ham, cheese.
Refrigerate overnight. Remove from fridge; let stand 1 1/2 hours. Melt 1/2 cup and coat 1 cup cornflakes. Sprinkle on top. Bake @ 350 for 1 hour.
