Ingredients

  • 2 28-oz cans whole tomatoes, drained
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 1-2 jalapeno peppers, roughly chopped
  • 6-7 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 onion, roughly chopped
  • 1 t. cumin
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. pepper
  • Juice of one lime (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Add approximately half of the tomatoes to a food processor or blender. Cut the bare stems off the bunch of cilantro & add to food processor. Add in jalapenos, garlic & onion and pulse 5-6 times until no large chunks remain.

Add in remaining tomatoes, cumin, salt, pepper & lime juice (if wanted). Pulse
2-3 times or until you reach the consistency you like.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.
