Quick & Easy Alfredo Sauce
By dlperkins
Making homemade Alfredo Sauce does not have to be as intimidating as you would think. I have been making this version of Alfredo Sauce for a few years now, and it is always a fan favorite. The following easy meals recipe makes about 5 – 6 healthy size portions mixed with one pound of pasta. I have also made this recipe for a crowd of about 80 people one time for a super bowl party I hosted. To be honest, it was just as easy to make for 80 as it was to make for 4. The cream cheese in the sauce gives it that little extra umph and creaminess.

Preparation
Step 1
In a medium sauce pan, melt the butter. Add cream cheese and garlic powder to the butter using a wisk, stir until its completely melted and smooth. Add milk, a little at a time, whisking to smooth out lumps.
Stir in the Parmesan cheese, pepper and nutmeg.
Remove the sauce from heat when it reaches desired thickness. This sauce will thicken very quickly. You can thin it with a little milk if it is to thick for you. Toss with your favorite cooked pasta. Serve hot with a fresh green salad and Parmesan Garlic Knots.
