Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup soft margarine
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 68 Rollos (about 7 packages)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

1. Beat sugar and margine until light and fluffy
2. Add vanilla and eggs. Beat well
3. Add flour, cocoa and baking soda. Blend well
4. Chill dough at least 3 hours
5. Roll 1 large tsp of dough to form ball
6. Press Rollo into ball covering completely
7. (Optional) Press one side into mixture of 1 cup chopped nuts with 1 tbsp sugar
8. Repeat #5 - 7 until dough is used up
9.Place on ungreased pan (nut side up if #7 followed above)
10.Cook at 350 for 7 minutes or until slightly cracked. Do not overcook!
11. Remove from oven and place on wax paper
12. Wait until they're slightly cool
