Ingredients
- 1 4lb. Chicken
- 1 Tblsp. salt
- 3 cubes chicken boullion
- 1/2 lb. mushroom wash & cut in half
- 1 8oz. can water chesnuts
- 2 carrots, peeled and cut thin
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 lb. fresh bean sprouts
- 1 quart water
- 1 head celery, cut in diagonals
- 1 onion peeled cut in strips
- 1 8oz. sliced bamboo shoots
- 1 small red pepper, cut in pieces
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1 can 3-4oz. chow mein noodles (Crisp)

Preparation
Step 1
Boil chicken in 1 quart of water + salt, chicken boullion until chicken is done. Do not over cook. When done skin chicken, leave chicken in a bowl. Use chicken broth to cook all vegetable (but leave the bean sprout to cook last) until they are done. Mix cornstarch and cold water until dissolved. Thicken broth with vegetables, chicken, and bean sprouts and bring to a boil again. Taste.
Hot water can be used depending on how thin you like the sauce and cornstarch can be used to thicken. Serve over rice, sprinkle crisp chow mein noodles on the top. Soy sauce on the table in case you wish to have some.
