  • 1 lb Velveeta Cheese
  • 1/2 lb inexpensive stick margarine
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • l 1/2-cups homemade salad dressing like Miracle Whip

Step 1

In the top of the double boiler melt over simmering water Velveeta Cheese in small pieces, margarine, & Parmesan cheese. Stir till melted & smooth and then transfer to large mixing bowl & beat with electric mixer on high to medium speed for 3 minutes, adding homemade salad dressing like Miracle Whip a little at a time. Beat another 2 minutes. It will thicken quickly.

Pack it into 1-qt container & keep it covered in the refrigerator up to one month. Do not freeze this as it contains mayonnaise-type dressing.

Use it thinned with milk & heated and pour over cooked macaroni topped with buttered bread crumbs, or stirred into scalloped potatoes, thinned & spooned hot over sliced tomatoes & toasted English muffins, poached eggs, on hamburgers and steamed vegetables.
