Ingredients
- In an accommodating kettle combine the following ingredients:
- 1 (46 oz.) can tomato juice
- 4 oz prepared mustard
- 1 (14 oz.) bottle ketchup
- 4 TB season salt
- 5 oz. A-1 Sauce
- 1 onion the size of an egg, chopped
- 6 oz. Heinz 57 Sauce
- 6 whole cloves garlic, peeled
- 5 oz. Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 4 oz. white vinegar
- 4 TB lemon juice
- 21 oz. water
- 3 dry bay leaves

Step 1
Bring mixture to full boil, stirring to combine mixture. Turn heat to low and allow to simmer about 5 minutes, stirring frequently so it won't scorch. Cool to lukewarm. Add Tabasco Sauce to taste if you wish. Divide mixture into family size containers to freeze to be used within 1 year.
Makes about 3 quarts.
This sauce can be made in smaller quantities for immediate use, but the savings is in making it for the freezer.
