Ingredients
- Littleneck clams or 2 (8oz) cans of mixed clams,undrained
- 1/2 Cup bread crumbs
- 2 Tsp powdered garlic or 4 cloves chopped fresh garlic
- 2 Tbsp diced onion
- 2 Tsp parsley
- 1/4 Tsp salt
- 4 Tbsp olive oil
- Parmesan cheese,to taste
- 1/2 Tsp oregano
- Bacon,cut into half inch pieces
- Bottle of clam juice,as much as needed to keep mixture moist

Preparation
Step 1
Partially fry bacon until fat starts to render but not crisp,cut into half inch pieces. Saute garlic,onion,parsley,oregano and bread crumbs in olive oil for about 2 minutes,mixing thoroughly. When onion and garlic start to brown,remove mixture from frying pan and mix with clams,juice and salt. Spoon mixture into clam shells or aluminum baking shells,sprinkle lightly with bread crumbs,top with a piece of bacon and cover with grated parmesan cheese. Place on baking sheet in 375 degree oven for 25-30 minutes or until bacon is cooked and top is crusty.
