Ingredients
- 1 large cloves garlic minced
- 1 shallot chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon dried crushed red pepper
- 3 tablespoons butter melted
- 1-1/4 cups milk
- 1-1/2 cups whipping cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 1-1/2 cups (6 oz) Gruyere cheese grated
- 1/2 cup (2 oz) Parmesan cheese grated

Preparation
Step 1
1.Saute garlic and shallot with crushed red pepper in butter in a Dutch oven 2 minutes.
2.Add milk, and next 3 ingredients, stirring well.
3. Add potatoes. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Spoon into a lightly greased 13 x 9 inch baking dish. sprinkle with cheeses.
4. Bake at 450 degrees for 45 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
