Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla or lemon juice

Preparation

Step 1

Cover raisins with water and cook for 3/4 hour. Mix flour and cornstarch in a little water to make a smooth paste, then add to cooked raisins. Add brown sugar and vanilla or lemon juice. Put in pie shell. Bake 400 degree oven then reduce to 350.



NOTE:

For a raising pie treat, use leftover morning coffee for the liquid in which you cook the raisins. Add 1 tsp of vinegar for each pie filling.
