Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups expresso or strong coffee still warm from being brewed (don't reheat)
  • Whipped cream
  • Lemon zest

Preparation

Step 1

In a small saucepan, bring water and sugar slowly up to high heat and allow the sugar to dissolve. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Once cool, add coffee to sugar mixture. Chill mixture for about 2 hours or until very cold. Pour chilled coffee mixtrue over ie, just before serving. Serve a dollip of whipped cream and a twist of lemon zest as a garnish.
