Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon culinary lavender, chopped
  • 2/3 cup toasted almonds, coarsely crushed
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup EVOO
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Preparation

Step 1

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees-F.
2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together. Mix in the almonds and lavender. Set aside.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Whisk in olive oil slowly. Whisk in milk. Add flour mixture, and incorporate completely.
4. Bake for 45 minutes. Cool completely.
Dust with confectioners' sugar.
