Ingredients

  • Cream Cheese Icing:
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • Milk, substitute for water in cake mix
  • 2 tbs cocoa
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 2 eggs, or amount cake mix requires
  • 1 oz red food coloring
  • 1/2 c vegetable oil
  • 1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese softened
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 box(1 lb) powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon extract
  • 1 tbs milk

Preparation

Step 1

Prepare cake mix as directed except for substitution of milk.
Add other ingredients. Pour into 2 8inch or 9x13 well greased and floured pans. Bake at 350* for 30-35 minutes. Cool.

Mix all ingredients for icing, If too thick add an extra tsp of milk.
