  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups (16 ounces) boiled cider
  • 3 tablespoons (1 1/2 ounces) butter

This easy-to-prepare syrup is delicious on pancakes - especially apple pancakes.



Combine brown sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon in a heavy saucepan. Whisk to mix. Stir in cider. Whisk until smooth. Cook over medium heat until mixture begins to boil, stirring occasionally. Immediately remove from the heat. Add butter, stirring until it melts. Keep warm while pancakes cook.
